The Love That Passes All Understanding

Dwell for a minute on the power that Love has had in human history, to create! All of the songs, the poems, the stories, the great inventions to improve and prolong our lives, the birth of billions of us,...is there any creative power in human life greater? Now forget all about what you think I mean when I say Love. Forget all the baggage you have about the word, let it be a fresh and new concept. Let your heart feel the deeper meaning of Love, the raw, amazing, infinite power that it is. Imagine separating the ability to Love from human beings, as if it were just a thing we are compelled by biology or evolution through us to express. Dwell upon it as a primal, glorious, amazing, creative energy. Now imagine you can see the true nature of what we call God. Imagine you can see it right down to its bare essence. What do you see? Is it not the most vast, wondrous, awesome, incomprehensible, glorious thing imaginable?

I will tell you something I feel to be true with every fiber of my being. I will tell you what my heart screams to me every time I take notice of my deepest feelings, the thing that cries out in response to the great human injustices and tragedies in life. That God really is Love, a Love that passes all understanding. God is made out of Love, and whats more, everything that exists is made out of God! So, we are made out of God, we are made out of Love, we are... the very Love of God! This is the best news we have ever had. It is the greatest gospel, we are the Love of God! Now, do you know what is really sad, really tragic? We do not realize what we are! This is exactly why there is so much evil and unnecessary suffering in the world, why there is tragedy and injustice and newspapers filled with horror and terror! We do not realize what we are. We do not recognize it in each other. We do not see it enough in nature, our planet, our universe. But it is there, has been there all the time waiting for us to realize it and LIVE IT! No one of us is all of God, but we are all God essence. This tells us the greatest truth about who and what we are. This tells us why we are so immeasurably valuable! Imagine now, if each one of us woke up to this great truth. Imagine if we claimed our true worth and at the same time recognized this same truth about everyone and everything else. Would we not begin to create a new earth, a new life, a new reality? This is the thing I feel God wants us to know more than anything else. We have always been divine, we have always been worthy, we just have to wake up and live the divinity and wisdom that is in our heart, our core, our essence...the Love that passes all understanding.
