Love at the Door

Life’s pain can come unbidden

leaving you shaken to your core

but remember what’s within you

for Love is at your door

Though all may disappoint you

leaving you empty, wanting more

no fear, that joy seems far away

for Love is at your door

Whatever burden you may carry

leaving you depressed, depleted, sore

your saving grace is close at hand

for Love is at your door

Abused, tarnished, broken

your own self, you may deplore

this phantom darkness is sure to pass

for Love is at your door

You’ve forgotten, who you really are

that radiant spirit, you’d adore

your true self, you’re sure to find

for Love Is at your door
