The Great Christmas Celebration!
The evidence from the natural world and the beauty in nature and in life present indisputable evidence of the vast beauty and wonder of the creative force which has brought all things into being. All of our human religions have failed to adequately capture the majesty and wonder of the great reality at the core of the great mystery. But with an open mind and an open heart, we can become aware of the awe and wonder of the immeasurable presence at the heart of reality. The fundamental consciousness which does exist and permeates all of existence and all of the infinite and eternal realms radiates out through all of its natural forms. This is something to be aware of and to celebrate. It is meaningful and important to stop and try to cultivate the awareness of that which is responsible for all of existence.
The Christian religion presented a revolutionary idea of the qualitative nature of God. Jesus Christ, was a wonderful expression of divine nature who walked among us and demonstrated the essential nature of God in how he treated everyone he came across. This is a very important example of the great truth of the great mystery, which while we cannot possibly grasp the true reality of the divine-we have been given a demonstration of how the spirit could emerge through a human being and conduct itself upon the earth. The example of Christ is the example of living love. This is the great gospel and message brought to us 2000 years ago. It is a message which has been echoed 500 years earlier than that, in the teachings of the Buddha who taught compassion and tolerance for all sentient beings. It is a message that has been echoed since through all the great-hearted teachers of love and tolerance who have come and gone through the ages.
It is good to recognize the positive, awesome nature of the divine, in spite of our overall inadequacy in fully understanding it. The reflection of the truth in the natural world is adequate and the unconditional expressions of love through open-minded and openhearted human beings every single day are the continuing reflections of the wonder and beauty of the great mystery. It is good to bring forth this beautiful spirit from our heart and express through genuine care and generosity the fundamental nature of God. This truly is something to celebrate, and even better to celebrate every moment of our precious existence...
