True Worth

All beings on earth are priceless.

Formed by divine will, or nobly evolved.

Such value cannot be measured.

For what measure would suffice?

formed from the dust- enlivened by breath divine

or fashioned from the constant interplay of Earth, wind, fire, water,

over the endless millennia

all of this life from bare substance, into sublime being

what value is a dream, a thought, a desire, an act, an inspiration?

And how precious are these fleeting forms-alive for minutes, hours, days, decades?

No life can be replicated

no robot, android, computer, creative construction

can touch the wonder and awe of a living being

It is thus the most sublime virtue

to hold the awareness of this life in mind

it’s preciousness resonating

in the depths of the heart and feeling

For rising from this noble perception

comes a sweet urging, more noble yet

the sublime compulsion

to think, to act, with the highest intention

to honor this preciousness

such is Love in this life
